Danganelly Nursery is a small family owned and operated retail nursery established in 1986 by Charles and Pamela Studdert which has been operated by their son Andrew since 2002.
We offer for sale a comprehensive range of Eucalypts, wattles and shrubs. Shrubs include Callistemon, Melaleuca, Hakea, Leptospermum and Bankia. Please contact us for a copy of our current stock list or see the below download option.
All stock is propagated and grown on in the nursery ensuring the plant is ready and tough for our local conditions. Our mission is to produce a prime plant ready for planting out in either Autumn or Spring and suitable for both mass farm tree lots or a few for the home garden.
Forward orders are encouraged to avoid disappointment and sowing of seed is typically done during December and January to produce a plant ready for the following season/s.

"Danganelly" house circa 1940.

“Danganelly” takes her name from a Studdert ancestral home, Danganella, in County Clare, Ireland. The property was purchased in April 1935 by Charles and Geraldine Studdert, my Grandparents. The small house known as Danganelly, a basic two bay construction, was built during 1857 by John Brabham (forefather of Jack) from stone quarried on the adjacent hill that is toward Goulburn. During the Brabham tenure the property was known as “Honeymead Park” and apparently had quite a good orchard. Brabham arrived in the colony about 1854 from Devon, England with his wife Jane and three children and subsequently had a further four children. The property was carried on by John Brabham's son Robert. There are a number of local families who descend from the Brabham’s. The separate brick ‘kitchen’ dates from the same period using bricks locally made and of quite poor quality. Apparently, brick kilns were located at Boxers Creek, Carrick, Murrays Flat and at a site along the Towrang Road. Brabham possibly also built the slab shed (now a shearing shed) and a barn which was pulled down about 1950. The barn was about 15 x 4 M with a stone floor, a loft and a manger. In the early 1900’s the property was sold to Herbert Hudson who kept the place for a few years only and grew good crops of corn. In 1922 Sid Fitzgerald took ownership of the property and had a dairy. The two Fitzgerald lads, Frank and Sid built the small brick out building, once used as a dairy and feed room. Handsome Jack Armstrong took ownership in 1933 and had named the property Glynwell Park (spelling?). A descendant of John Brabham was present at the dedication of the Memorial Wall at Towrang (circa 1980).
